Dakar 2026 Flame Ceremony – Panathenaic Stadium visiting Hours

On 10 September 2026, the Lighting and Handover Ceremony of the Olympic Flame for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games will take place at the Panathenaic Stadium.

As a result, the opening hours of the Panathenaic Stadium will be adjusted as follows:

Wednesday, 9 September 2026 – Official Rehearsal

  • The official rehearsal of the Lighting and Handover Ceremony of the Olympic Flame will take place from 10:30 to 12:30.
  • The Panathenaic Stadium will remain open to the public from 08:00 to 19:00, with regular admission tickets.

Thursday, 10 September 2026 – Lighting and Handover Ceremony

  • The Panathenaic Stadium will be closed to the public from 08:00 to 10:00.
  • From 10:30 to 14:00, free admission will be offered to the public to attend the Lighting and Handover Ceremony of the Olympic Flame for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
  • From 14:00 to 19:00, the Panathenaic Stadium will be open to the public as usual, with regular admission tickets.
