Please be informed that the track of the Panathenaic Stadium will not be accessible to visitors from 19 to 22 September 2026, due to the completion of the tartan replacement works.

Access to the track will resume on 23 September 2026.

Please be informed that on Monday, 14 September and Tuesday, 15 September 2026, due to events taking place at the Panathenaic Stadium, special opening hours will apply.

The last admission ticket will be issued at 15:30, with visitors permitted to remain inside the Stadium until 16:00.

On 10 September 2026, the Lighting and Handover Ceremony of the Olympic Flame for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games will take place at the Panathenaic Stadium.

As a result, the opening hours of the Panathenaic Stadium will be adjusted as follows:

Wednesday, 9 September 2026 – Official Rehearsal

• The official rehearsal of the Lighting and Handover Ceremony of the Olympic Flame will take place from 10:30 to 12:30.
• The Panathenaic Stadium will remain open to the public from 08:00 to 19:00, with regular admission tickets.

Thursday, 10 September 2026 – Lighting and Handover Ceremony

• The Panathenaic Stadium will be closed to the public from 08:00 to 10:00.
• From 10:30 to 14:00, free admission will be offered to the public to attend the Lighting and Handover Ceremony of the Olympic Flame for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
• From 14:00 to 19:00, the Panathenaic Stadium will be open to the public as usual, with regular admission tickets.
