“I Love Sports – Kids’ Sports” Program
The “I Love Sports – Kids’ Sports” program is an innovative initiative offering educational visits and sports activities for primary school students across the country. It is free of charge and implemented by the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the Hellenic Olympic Academy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports through its Directorate of Physical Education, and with the Ministry of National Defence, conducted by Greek Olympians and distinguished athletes.
The program offers students rich educational and informational material about the Olympic values, as well as the history of the Stadium, which stands as a timeless symbol of sport, culture, and history in the heart of modern Athens. At the same time, it includes a structured sports program in the form of play.
Visiting students have access to a modern self-guided tour system, allowing them to explore every corner of the Stadium and learn its history. Through the “I Love Sports – Kids’ Sports” program, students experience athletics, basketball, and volleyball.
The athletics program consists of fundamental motor and functional skills tailored to children’s ages and includes three main areas: running, throwing, and jumping skills.
The volleyball program includes exercises, targets, and spikes using age-appropriate balls and takes place in a specially arranged area on the Panathenaic Stadium track.
Students also become familiar with basketball, one of the most popular sports, and its basic principles.
Through these activities, students learn and apply the Olympic values of fair play, friendship, respect, and excellence.

It takes place daily at the Panathenaic Stadium from 9:00 to 13:00, lasting approximately two hours, with two available time slots: 9:00–11:00 or 11:00–13:00.
